I decided to transition to law school after 7 years working in the social services sector. Through these experiences – such as training doctors to screen and treat patients for domestic violence, facilitating support groups with incarcerated women, and providing case management and advocacy to people seeking reproductive healthcare – I decided that law is the discipline in which I can most meaningfully contribute to solving complex social issues. I’m looking forward to service and clinical opportunities where fellow social justice-minded students and I can learn from and support community members’ efforts to solve problems and organize for change.
